The Course

The course focuses on a number of different spray foam application types and methods, as well as different product types and their uses. This includes the installation of spray foam insulation to the internal substrates of various property functions – such as loft applications, walls and under floors and minor remedial building maintenance work – plus the equipment used to do so.

Attending the Course

Comprising of a mix of classroom-based and practical learning, the course runs for approximately 6 months in total. Initially, learners attend 5 days of preparatory theory sessions over a week at our training centre in Sheffield. Here, they are taught by experts in the field on topics such as:

Field Work and Remote Learning

From here, these principles are applied through field work and further remote webinars, being assessed through observed evidence in simulation, professional discussion and workplace environments.

As these modules are completed, technicians work towards an overall pass grade for the course, at which point they are awarded their NVQ.
